A self-check for businesses

Are you violating the AI Act?

One AI mistake can hurt your whole business.

An employee pastes a client contract into AI. A colleague sends a customer an incorrect answer. Do you know how your company prevents this?

You do not need to be an IT specialist. If you do not know an answer, choose “I don’t know”.

What the check covers
  1. What does your company use AI for — internally or in customer solutions?

List each use, its purpose and its owner.

  2. Do you only use AI, or also develop or supply it?

Check your company’s legal role and the allocation of responsibilities for a specific system.

  3. Does AI influence the assessment of people or decisions about them?

Describe how AI output affects the decision and who can override it.

  4. Where do people encounter your AI or its content?

Check disclosure duties for the specific role, content and use.

  5. How are people prepared to work with the AI you use?

Check that preparation matches the team’s actual tools and tasks.

  6. What is the most sensitive information entering your AI?

Review authorisation, necessary data scope and processing terms.

  7. How do you check AI outputs and actions before use?

Define proportionate checks, an owner and a way to stop an incorrect action.

Frequently asked questions

What will I receive?

A summary of areas that need attention based on your answers, each with a reason and a practical first step. Download it to discuss with your team.

Can I see the result without email?

Yes. Results and steps appear immediately and can be downloaded. Email is required only if you choose to contact us.

Are my answers sent to a server?

No. Assessment runs in your browser. Answers are not added to URLs or enquiry submissions.

Is this a complete AI Act assessment?

No. It maps seven areas and adds follow-up questions based on your answers. It does not establish a definitive legal role or classification, check all prohibitions and duties, or verify real systems. The result is not a legal audit, certification or proof of compliance.

Does putting personal data into AI breach the AI Act?

Not in itself. Data protection, confidentiality and authorisation for processing need separate assessment against the actual conditions.
